The S.P.O.R.T.S. Recreational Youth Cheerleading Program 2008 is under New Leadership. We thank you in advance for your patience during this transition.

Our cheerleading program is looking forward to a great 2008 football season. The HSE Youth Football League Cheer Program and Football Program is a cohesive unit that works together to provide a well rounded experience for all participants. The cheer program works to provide the cheerleading for the football games. There are two divisions in our Recreational league. We also offer a Travel Cheerleading League called the Knights Cheerleaders.

Youth cheerleading is once again offering a Junior program available to 1st–3rd grades and will teach the girls basic cheers, teamwork, and spirit. Our Senior program is available to 4th–6th grades with cheers at a more difficult level. The Recreational Cheerleading league does not have competitions or tryouts. NO EXPERIENCE AND NO TUMBLING IS NEEDED for Recreational cheer. This is a terrific program that helps build confidence and self-esteem and we hope your child has a great experience. You may request to be placed on a squad that cheers for your brother’s team! PLEASE NOTE: Junior and Senior girls will normally cheer for 3^rd – 6^th grade boys, but based on last year’s cheer enrollment, 3^rd grade boys did not have cheerleaders.

The Knight Travel Squad has tryouts in the spring. Please check back for dates and time. Previous cheer experience is recommended when trying out for the Knights cheer squad.

COACHES NEEDED!!! WE CANNOT RUN THIS PROGRAM WITHOUT YOU. FOR EVERY 5-6 GIRLS SIGNED UP FOR RECREATIONAL CHEERLEADING, WE WILL NEED COACHING VOLUNTEERS. NO COACHING OR CHEERING EXPERIENCE NEEDED! WE WILL PROVIDE ALL INFORMATION AND FORMS YOU NEED TO RUN A SQUAD FOR THE FIRST TIME.
